Why oh why didn't I think of it???

My eldest son has mild autism and alot of children with this love structure and routine. We have a large white board with his week on it and picture magnets (he's 4 1/2) with all the things we do. Seeing nanny, swimming, visting friends etc. So he can see at anyone time what is happening and what will be happeneing. Since beginning of the year he has attended an ECDU unit ( aka school)two days a week. Last school hols we were away and had planned and prepared him for a long time. Today - I didn't even think about it and we had a melt down. He wanted to go to 'school' and just didn't understand why I wasn't going to take him and why he couldn't go. He had his ECDU shirt on and everything. It has been a day of melt downs, crying and a lot of distractions and semi-bribes. I am now officially kicking myself and we have definately learnt our lesson.

Baby Book

This is an advice book I made for some friends before they had their baby. Pretty easy to do. the majority of rub ons and colours came from The Scrap Heap (see link on right). I loved doing and everyone had a great time thinking of all sorts of things to write to them.
